‘Tis the season

Hellooooo little kumquats!

Since it is finally December (praise Jesus, bring on 2016, new year, new you blah dee blah etc.) I thought I would keep you posted on all of the exciting festivities of the holiday season.

Bestie from home headed back to the frozen tundra on Thanksgiving day – was super sad to see her leave but so happy she got to come play for a week in London town (if only work would have given me a bit more free time – always cramping my style… and fundingΒ it). We managed to get some fun nights out – celebrated my London bestie’s 26th birthday (baby!) at Cay TreΒ in Soho and got a delish night cap at the Spice MarketΒ at the W Hotel near Leicester Square.

Flaming something or other – and these gorgeous gals!

I rounded out November with a third and final Thanksgiving celebration… luckily this one was hosted by two beautiful Brits hoping to bring a little American fabulousness to the capitol. And it worked. Whiskey sweet potato casserole, pumpkin pie, mac and cheese and bacon-wrapped chicken (so thankful it wasn’t turkey, again!) – plus cranberry cocktails, mulled wine and an amazing group of guests that I shall call the “Cambridge creative singing and dancing extravaganza”. Needless to say… we sang and danced until the early morning.

Nothing says thanksgiving like a leopard print romper.

I managed to get out and about – between working like a crazy person and being the hostess with the mostest:

The Ski Lodge Terrace at Coq d’Argent
Makes me want to bundle up, cover myself in fur and blankets, drink warmed cinnamon bourbon and make this face
The Christmas lights on Oxford Street
Life in the City – late night worker bees buzzing in the hive.

Then my favourite (and only) little sister returned from her gallivanting around Eastern Europe to chill in London for a couple of weeks… so we have been trying to have some fun between my crazy work schedule.

Conveyor belt sushi at K10 on Copthall
Ramen at Shoryu near Piccadilly Circus

241 buns on Monday (#lookatmybuns)
Ramen on ramen
Friday night in with little pickle pie
You can take the girls out of Wisconsin… but we still gonna eat ridiculous amounts of cheese and sausage.

More to come on the exciting festivities of the holiday season (think ugly Christmas sweater party, firm holiday party, Women’s Committee outing, ice skating at Somerset House, Love Actually at Underground Cinema, mulled wine, Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park, etc etc etc).
