After a short jaunt to the New Zealand, we made our way back to Sydney to be reunited with the wedding crew. We had two short days before people started heading back home to the US – I spent an extra couple of days in Sydney, soaking up the sun and exploring all of the beaches, restaurants and sites.
First night in Sydney – the harbour, the Opera House and the Queen Mary II
Quelle surprise… a selfie
The beautiful Harbour Bridge at night
And during the day – look at those blue skies!
We made it over to Bondi Beach – selfie with all the amazing fools behind me
Babes – Boy – Bondi
Saturday morning market at the Rocks
Mint Chocolate Chip Milkshake – a daily vacation staple
I took a lovely 6km walk from Bondi to Coogee beach – all along the coast – it was glorious
Blondie at Bondi
The beaches were incredible
Lazy dog days at the Coogee Pavillion
Sunset drinks at the Opera Bar, live music, crisp Aussie wine and the sun setting over the water
Walking from the beach at Watsons Bay to Camp Cove
View of the beach from Laing’s Point
Sydney in the distance
Taking a deep breath and looking down off the cliffs of South Head
Different hike at Manly – from the cliffs over Shelly Beach
Back downtown Sydney
Cool little streets and alleyways
From the ferry from Manly – the Opera House
When life gives you lemons…
Last meal with my faves
Kevin Bacon at the Grounds
Amazing brunch spread. The Grounds was an incredible last meal!
The next morning I boarded a plane for the Gold Coast, where I booked in a few days of solo relaxation in Byron Bay (book, beach) before making my way back to the real world (via 35 hours of travel).
