DC Daze – Another Weekend, Another Birthday

My second DC weekend in a row was dedicated to the birthday festivities of one of my more recent besties – you’ll remember her from an outrageously amazing week in Austin and so many other adventures from the past year or so.

And the weather was definitely on our side! We sat out at Glen’s Garden Market with iced coffee and bagels before heading for manis/pedis. A perfectly girly afternoon. We had a lovely dinner at Union Market before settling into a comfy night in watching Wonder Woman (knowing full well that Sunday was going to be pretty eventful).

So much love

The next day was this lovely’s 27th (ugh baby) birthday… and she was so excited she couldn’t sleep – which I LOVE. Birthdays are the best and I love being able to celebrate with the people that mean the most! This girl leapt out of bed, made birthday breakfast pizza before we jetted off to Soul Cycle for a birthday ride with one of her other besties in from Texas!

Brunch of dreams!

After showering and an amazing brunch spread, we jumped in a cab and made our way down to the dock for a gorgeous day out on the Potomac River. We couldn’t have asked for a better day for birthday babes on a boat – it was 95 degrees and there wasn’t a cloud in sight! We had bottles of prosecco, cans of rosé and Taylor Swift blaring through the speakers. It was glorious!

Yours truly

It was just an amazing weekend – was sorry to say goodbye to the whole crew as they dropped me at the dock to run get my train back to the Big Apple. As for both of my DC weekends, while different, I am so thankful that I live so close to such fantastic friends. So lucky!
